Resolved question:
I was prescribed omeprazole a couple months ago for an ulcer, I took it, the symptoms went away, and I was off of it. I just recently was prescribed omeprazole again because my symptoms showed up again. Last night I was doing a decent amount of physical activity and I started have debilitating pain in my mid abdomen. Tonight it is not as bad, but still a lot worse then it has ever been. Is it possible I aggravated it doing physical work? If so should I ride it out or could it be more serious?
Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
With a history of ulcers, it is quite possible that the ulcer got aggravated, may not be related to the physical acitivity but it does seem like it has gotten worse.
You need to rest and you can take Rabeprazole if you have ( potency is higher than Omeprazole ).
Also, the cause of the ulcer needs to be determined. If it is due to H.Pylori infection, then the infection has to be treated first. You can get an ultrasound whole abdomen and an endoscopy to find out the exact status of the ulcer.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
