Resolved question:
Hi. I would like to ask you about the possibility of me being pregnant. I had unprotected sex on June 7th, and took Plan B the next day. My last period began on June 3rd so I was on my period when I had sex. Typically my periods last for seven days and come every 33 to 36 days. A few days after taking Plan B I had vaginal bleeding that lasted a few days and was not nearly as heavy as my normal periods are so I do not think it was a period.
Normally my period would have come a couple days ago but I still do not have it. I have had some symptoms I see before I get my period such as bloating, slight cramping, and discharge. It's possible Plan B is delaying my period, but how long is too long of a delay? And what are the chances of me being pregnant? Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
You have no chances of pregnancy. Let me explain how it works. A woman is fertile on her cycle during the 10-18th day, in between which the ovulation occurs. The ovum stays viable for a period of 12 hours after being released, and if intercourse happens in that period, pregnancy occurs. We say 10th to 18th day, since ovulation can occur 2 days prior or later and no one can predict the actual time of its occurence.
When you had unprotected intercourse, you were on the 5th day of your cycle, and also you took Plan B pill next morning. So do not worry about any unnecessary pregnancy. Since your periods are always delayed a bit, it is possible Plan B had delayed it further. So i will advise you to wait another 3-4 days and you should get your period. Sometimes stress can also cause a delay in period, and it is possible in your case since you were worried about unneccessary pregnancy.
I am assuming you didn't have unprotected intercourse after June 7th. So there is absolutely no chance of pregnancy. Kindly don't be stressed about it.
Hopefully this helps. Feel free to discuss further,
Regards
I have another question, are there any foods that will induce a period or make it come sooner?
Hello. Thank you for writing to us again.
I understand you're very stressed. But i will assure you, it will come soon. Trust me stress can delay it even for an entire one weeks or two weeks some times. There are no such foods. It will come on its own. Plan B might have had delayed it by a few more days. So expect to wait around 40-45 days from your last cycle.
It will come on its own. The more you stress, the more probability of it getting late.
