Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
Firstly , my empathies and deepest condolences on the loss of a child.
Before I opine, I would like to request you to provide me with a few details, as that will influence my opinion.
1. Have you ever conceived before this ?
2. When exactly was the C section carried out ?
3. What is your height and weight ?
4. Any insight into why was the delivery extremely preterm ?
5. What is your age ?
6. For how long were you trying to conceive before you were pregnant with this child that you lost ,
ie . in other words, did you have difficulty in conception.
7. Was the pregnancy otherwise complicated in terms of any concomitant medical condition that you had ?
8. Are you and your partner / husband reasonably healthy and fit ?
9. Any other reasons why you would like to conceive sooner than advised, other than the yearning for a child ?
Please write back with these details so that I can revert accordingly.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards.

Hi! Thank you for your kind words. Her name was Lucy Isabella. My answers to your questions are in line below.
1. Have you ever conceived before this ? Yes. We've had several losses. Last year was the first time we actively tracked reproduction. we had 1 missed miscarriage (mmc) last year and 4 chemicals. Year before we had another mmc and probably additional chemicals. Total losses around 10 including Lucy and the other chemicals. No live children.
2. When exactly was the C section carried out ? October 26th, 2014
3. What is your height and weight ? I'm 5' 7" and about 145 lbs. My pre-pregnancy weight was 140 lbs.
4. Any insight into why was the delivery extremely preterm ? Yes. I had pregnancy-induced high blood pressure around 16 weeks and went to the emergency room. They referred me to a local perinatologist. At that time the SUA was detected as was an absent endiastolic (sp?) flow. The perinatologist was monitoring the flow every two weeks to see if it became a reversal, which it did on Oct 24th. We were admitted to the hospital to monitor her heart rate for 2 days; she went into distress on the 26th which is when they performed the section.
5. What is your age ? I'm 36. Will be 37 next year.
6. For how long were you trying to conceive before you were pregnant with this child that you lost , ie . in other words, did you have difficulty in conception. - We have been trying for at least 3 years. I can get pregnant just fine. I cannot stay pregnant.
7. Was the pregnancy otherwise complicated in terms of any concomitant medical condition that you had ? - No.
8. Are you and your partner / husband reasonably healthy and fit ? - Yes. Very.
9. Any other reasons why you would like to conceive sooner than advised, other than the yearning for a child ? - I am concerned about advanced maternal age. We would like to have several children if possible. I will be 37 next year; my husband will be 50. We would like to start our family immediately.

Thank you for the detailed updates.
You literally have to choose the lesser of two evils.
37 is not a nice age in terms of fertility.
And a classical C section DOES take atleast 18 months to fully recover its earlier strength and vitality.
Getting pregnant before that would test the integrity of that scar on your uterus, putting you at increased risk of a horrific complication during pregnancy - scar rupture.
I know that does not answer your question.
Asking you to wait until you are 39 is not a nice prospect, with an unfortunate history of recurrent pregnancy losses behind you.
What you CAN do, is try and conceive after a year, understanding the inherent risks, being constantly under surveillance by an expert OB team, with full planning to electively deliver you by 36 weeks of pregnancy.
IT is a calculated risk, but one that you have to take.
It is not a part of the question you posed, but have you had a comprehensive workup for recurrent pregnancy losses ?
I think that is top priority before embarking upon another conception.
Take care.
Regards.
