Resolved question:
31 y.o. female with enlarged thyroid that has gotten worse over the past 2 days. I felt a tender spot on my throat and kept trying to feel a lump and now my thyroid is enlarged. Doc says tests show I may have hypothyroidism and I have a thyroid ultrasound today. Can't sleep due to feeling of discomfort and neck fullness and anxiety worrying it may be the rare form of thyroid cancer.

Hello, Thanks for your query at Doctorspring.com
Don't think about thyroid cancer as they have radiation history associated with them ( Pappilary ) , other variants are rare. This seems more like thyroiditis ( auto-immune where antibodies are formed in your blood stream against your thyroid tissue ). To confirm, You need to do the following tests...TSH, T3, T4. Ultrasound of thyroid and TPOAntibody. Once you have all these reports kindly upload them and I would be in a better position to guide you further.
Hope this helps, please feel free to get back with queries.
