Can AROMATASE INHIBITOR dormant MICRO-METASTASIS from LOBULAR CANCER?

Resolved Question:

IF I get a micro-metastases from my lobular breast cancer, can an aromatase inhibitor keep it dormant for as much as 10 years?? More??    I have an allred score of 8.  (Of course I don't even know if I have a micro-met--I'm just wondering).  I'm hoping that this cancer is so indolent that it won't mutate fast.  I think that you have told me before that AI's work really well with a good ALLRED score.  (I did have 8 of 11 positive lymph nodes).  All my scans have been negative.

I can definitely say that aromatase inhibitors can keep ER positive cancer cells dormant, but cannot specify the years. The duration of disease dormancy depends on multiple factors.

AI can act on all cells with ER receptor irrespective of the size of the tumor.
It does act on micro-metastasis too.
