Hello,
Thank you for your consult at DoctorSpring.com.
You have mentioned that you are 3 weeks post op from a breast augmentation and have now started taking Accutane.
There have been lots of controversies regarding the use of Accutane and its effect on wound healing and previously surgeons used to delay elective surgery by about 6 months after stopping Accutane because it was widely believed that Accutane impaired wound healing. However, it has subsequently been shown that recently discontinued Accutane is not a contraindication to surgery. Therefore, once your wounds have healed (they have usually healed after 3 weeks) you can start Accutane therapy without any major problems.
Laxogenin and Tribulus are also safe and you can safely go ahead with these since there have been reports that they actually have the potential to accelerate wound healing although this effect is not accepted by all.
Regarding resumption of exercise after surgery, I generally ask my patients to wait for about 6 weeks after surgery so that the healed wounds gather enough strength to prevent disruption. Also, a sports bra is recommended during
exercise.
Hope this answers your queries. Please let me know if you have any further queries.
