BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Souvik Adhikari completed his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery) from Medical College, Calcutta, the oldest medical college in Asia and then did basic research in the University of Houston, USA. He was awarded the prestigious DFID Scholarship by the British Government which sponsored him for a trip to the UK where he undertook further research.

He came back to India and qualified for and completed his MS (Masters in Surgery) in General Surgery from Medical College, Calcutta. During this general surgical residency, he received extensive surgical training in the various aspects of general surgery. He went on to qualify for the MCh course in Plastic Surgery at the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Kolkata where he received extensive plastic surgical training. He was awarded the prestigious AOCMF Fellowship by the AO, Switzerland and he went on to complete the fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical School in USA. He now practices as an independent plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon in Kolkata.
