Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Belching may be related to a lot of different factors such as eating fatty foods, drinking carbonated beverages, eating too quickly, excessive smoking, secondary to IBS, gastroenteritis, or Lactose Intolerance. The most common causes are bacterial infection, leading to production of excessive gas, and also GERD.
Avoiding foods such as beans, broccoli, cabbage, carbonated drinks, cauliflower, dairy products, onions, e.t.c will reduce the amount of gas formation in the stomach. Also small quantities of meals need to be consumed.
Do you have any previous history of gastritis or ulceration? Even chronic gastritis can lead to this uncomfortable condition.
I will advise you the following medicines for 2 weeks, kindly continue them and you should get relief.
1) Cap. Omeprazole 20 mg , once daily before breakfast.
2) Syrup. Sucralfate 2 teaspoons twice daily after every meal, 3 times a day.
3) Probiotic Lactobacillus capsules, once at bed time daily for 2 weeks.
Once you take the above mentioned medicines you will get relief.
Kindly update me once you have taken the medicines for about a week or so.
Regards.
