i do not have another medical illness. i want to know what i am doing wrong that it stopping me from doing well.
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
The symptoms you have described does not look like that of anaphylaxis.
It looks more like a acid reflux disease and a probable hiatal hernia. You can get a upper GI endoscopy done . Taking prilosec will provide relief.
Yes, eating fish can cause anaphylaxis.
But Since you are on antihistamines, anaphylaxis is also less likely.
You can check your eosinophil count and IgE levels to see if you develop allergic reactions.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr.R.K

It is true that taking allergies pills doesn't relieve the feeling og my throat been tighten up. But when i took the allergy pills during the atacks it opens my throat and the last time i ate a banana 10 seconds after i had an attack. If it is acid reflux why that reactions with a banana or when i smoked
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.
Smoking is a risk factor for acid reflux.
But difficult to explain the relationship with eating banana other than eating it with full stomach or you would have also smoked then.
You can take a course of Prilosec.
As suggested earlier get eosinophil count and serum IgE done.
You can also get spirometry done to see whether you have reactive airways causing these symptoms.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
