Thank you very much for getting back to me. I'm happy to report that i am feeling better today, althought certainly not 100%. So it would still be fantastic to get an insight into what was going on so that i can prevent this issue in the future. I will answer your questions below, then add some additional insights that i gather over the last 12 hours.

Some additional Observations;
- The area of concern is specifically located at the lower left abdominel area about 1 inch upward diagonal from top of left hip bone.
- The area is relieved of some pain by placing light pressure
- The area feels acute pain with heavy pressure
- The bloating is decreasing- yesterday it appeared that my entire lower left side was filled like a ballon. Today it is halfway to normal.
Please let me know if you need any additional information. I'm looking forward to trying to figure out what happened. Thank you
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
Tenderness in the left lower quadrant most often is due to diverticulitis.
A CT scan would help to confirm the diagnosis. A colonoscopy after the acute episode would show diverticula which are small pouches in the colon.
Muscle pain is the next possible cause as you have mentioned pain is more when you move.
A course of ciprofloxacin and metronidazole along with Tylenol would provide relief.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
