Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
At 9 weeks, nearly 2 months after the exposure, OraQuick Swab test will be conclusive in 95 % of the cases. It is a highly effective test, with a unique mode of testing. It will be able to pick up even very minute concentrations of HIV virus antibodies, and hence it can definitely be trusted.
If at 2 months it is negative, then it is negative and won't turn positive after another 3 weeks.
I can understand the cause of your anxiety, but the good thing is OraQuick is negative and that rules out HIV.
Some doctors recommend waiting for up to 3, some till 6, these variations occur due to immunity status of certain individuals. If you want you can repeat the test once at the end of 6 months.
Regards.
