BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Bruce L. Feldman is a board-certified internist with over 20 years of experience as an Internist and over 10 years as a primary care practitioner. After graduating from Temple University School of Medicine, he did his residency at the University of Maryland and Baltimore VAMC, as well as the Good Samaritan Hospital, an affiliate hospital of the Johns Hopkins University. He chose to specialize in internal medicine because it presented the greatest connection to the patient and the totality of their life.
The earliest stages of his medical career were spent in a large internal medicine group, with 10 years subsequently developing his skills in a private practice located in Gloucester, Mass. Returning to New York to become Assistant Chairman of Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, Dr. Feldman worked to improve medical care delivery for the department. He has an additional 10 years of experience in developing programs for managing patient populations in New York City in the capacity of medical director at The Care Management Company, Touchstone Health Partnership, Presbyterian Community Health Plan and CarePlus Health Plan.
His passion has been direct care which at present requires working outside the traditional models. And thus, he has returned to Direct Patient care at My Personal Doc with special focus on premium level of medical care coupled with personal attention. He specializes in Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention, Concierge Medicine, Urgent Care, Housecalls, Quality Management, Outcomes reporting, Disease Management, utilization management, documentation and coding, skilled nursing facilities, care management.
Dr. Feldman believes in an interactive patient-doctor relationship characterized by direct communication, clear information, and continuing education. His role as a concierge doctor emanates from an abiding belief in the patient-doctor relationship that is fostered by the doctor’s accessibility. The doctor is also committed to a comprehensive approach to prevention, with a respect for the patient taking responsibility for a healthy lifestyle.
