Resolved question:
I'm trying to get a second opinion on accutane and birth defects. Even after taking two forms of birth control I found out I was pregnant. I stopped taking the accutane right away but Im still worried about birth defects. Is there anyway to know for sure whether or not my child will have defects?

There are definite risks of birth defects when Accutane is taken during pregnancy.
Well, most of the defects will be observed on ultrasound scans done in the first and second trimester, but there is absolutely no way to know all of the birth defects.
There are some defects which might not manifest right until the baby is born, or even afterwards.
So there is nobody who is going to tell you for 100 % that your child will be free of defects.
It is a calculated risk that you are taking, if you continue the pregnancy.
