Hello. Thank you for posting your query at Doctorspring.com
I understand your concern.
Is it possible for you to upload an image of what you're trying to describe?
If your throat is feeling lumpy then there has to be some kind of ongoing infection. Do you have a sore throat? There can be lots of reasons for enlargement of the neck lymph nodes, most commonly any injury/inflammation/infection. You may develop fever later on if you're having an infection currently. But since you had a procedure done 2 days back, it is possible that it has occured due to some injury. In that case it will resolve on its own.
Did you take any antibiotic prophylaxis during the surgery? Is the lymph node tender to touch?
Kindly get back to me with additional details and i will help you further,
Regards

Thank you for your help. The procedure I had wasn't surgery. It's a filler injected with a syringe. I have a bruise where the needle went in. The nodule on my neck which is the largest and first one on left side is not really tender to touch, but the puffy side of my cheek, by the ear, and nodule on right side that started today is a little tender, and my ear is starting to bug me a little, like sensation of when it's clogged. My throat is starting to bother me a little also, not really sore but like lumpy. Sending some images from my phone.

You can go ahead and send your picture. That will help me understanding what level of lymph nodes are involved. Since you mentioned that even your ears seem clogged, it is starting to seem like an infection. And also since you're away on a vacation, it is better you start on an antibiotic prophylaxis. The lymph nodes can even indicate a reaction to the filler, however it is very difficult to make an diagnosis in such cases, as to what exactly is causing these symptoms.
I will adivse you take the following :
1) Tab. Augmentin 650 mg ( Amoxycillin + Clavulanic acid ), it is equally potent in both throat and ear infections. Two tablets need to be taken for 5 days after food. 1-0-1
2) Tab. Cobadex CZS ( multi vitamin ) one tablet at bed time for 5 days.
3) Tab. Claritin 10 mg, one tablet at bed time for 3 days.
In case there is an active infection, it will resolve after taking the medicines over the next 2 days.

I tried sending the photos, I guess they did not go through. Right now I'm in a very small town in California so I'm going to go to the Hospital ER, so if I do indeed need antibiotics they can prescribe it and start taking right away. I'm sending photos again.
Should I abstain from exercising/running?
again thank you so much.
Hello. Thank you for writing to us again.
Yeah i saw your pictures and it does seem like a lymph node swelling. As i said before, you may be coming down with an infection or the other possibility is, it is just a reaction to the filler. If you're going to ER, it's fine, they can examine you and prescribe the right antibiotic. If you can't go, you can just wait for may be another day, just to see if you're developing any sore throat/ fever. In case you do, you can take the antibiotics i prescribed right away. In case you don't develop any signs of fever, it is definitely due to an allergic reaction, so you can take Tab. Claritin and the swelling will resolve automatically over a period of time.

But can I get the Augmentin and cobadex without a prescription? Because in that case I rather wait until tomorrow. Thanks again
Hello.
Thank you for writing to us again.
Augmentin is a prescription antibiotic. So you can wait until tomorrow.Do start the Claritin.
Cobadex is a multivitamin and you can take any such OTC brand.
I hope that answers your question.
Thank you.
