Resolved question:
I have a urine test for alochol (etg) coming up - probably tomorrow - and without thinking, I used a dab of Aveeno lotion, which contains alcohol, on my chin. Any chance this will cause a false positive?

I understand your concern.
The dab of Aveeno lotion, has very low concentraton of alcohol, so there is no reason to worry.
It won't cause false positive.

Thank you for the information. I notice that the Aveeno contains benzyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol. Do these types of alcohol show up in an etg or do I only need to be concerned with ethyl alcohol?

The ETG test detects ( Ethyl Glucoronide ) which is a byproduct of ethyl alcohol.
So it won't show any other compounds.
