Will ANTIBIOTIC make birth control less effective. PLAN-B?

Resolved Question:

I am on an antibiotic for a bladder infection and the doctor told me it would make my birth control less effective. I had sex last night and used a condom but there was no more than 5 minutes where we did not use a condom. He didn't cum inside of me or at all and wasn't close to cumming at the time. Do I need to be worried about pregnancy? Should I take a plan b?

Hello.
Thank you for posting your query.
I undertand your concern.
If ejaculation did not take place inside you, then it is extremely unlikely for pregnancy to occur. Only at times it is mentioned theoretically that pre-cum has been able to fertilize a fertile ovum, and women can get pregnanct, but this is truly a theoretical possibility since i am yet to encounter pregnancy as a result of pre cum being exposed to vagina without protection.
So in your case it is unlikely to get a pregnant.
I would like to know more about your cycles. How regular are your periods? And also when was your LMP? This will help me provide you with a more conclusive answer.
Please do not take PLAN B. It is not good to subject the body unnecessarily to such high hormonal levels.
Based on your cycle history, if there is any risk i will let you know.
Regards.

Patient replied :

My last LPM was about three weeks ago. My gynocologist suggested that I take my birth control continuously for three months at a tome so I get my period about every two or three months.

Hello.
Are you still using the birth control as of now?
And no since you're confident that your partner was not even close to cumming around the point where you had unprotected intercourse, there is no reason to worry.
When was the last time you took your birth control?
In normal cycles the woman is fertile around the 2nd week of her cycle, 14th day to be specific. But if you get it once every 2-3 months, then it is difficult to predict when the ovulstion will occur. But still avoiding all that complexity, in your case PLAN B is not required.
Regards.

Patient replied :

Yes I am still taking it and the last time I took it was earlier in the day before the sex and have taken it everyday since. Thank you for your help!

Hello.
In that case there is no chances of any unwanted pregnancy.
Thank you for your appreciation.
Regards.
