Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your concern.
I reviewed the pictures. I have a few possible diagnosis to offer.
1. Psoriasis
2. Fungal infection called tinea
3. Xerosis i.e dryness
I would recommend application of cortisone cream mixed with clotrimazole cream twice a day for a week and see if it helps. If it doesn't resolve then i would recommend consulting a dermatologist who would be able to examine you in person.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care
Patient replied :
Thank you, Doctor.
I applied some raw apple cider vinegar (an anti-fungal of sorts) diluted with water on a paper towel and wiped the white areas with it, but it came right back after a few minutes. So maybe it's not a fungal manifestation.
I will see a dermatologist for a visual inspection.
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
Fungal infection would require treatment for a couple of weeks with an anti fungal like clotrimazole for it to go away.
In your case it seems like psoriasis more than fungal infection. I would recommend application of cortisone cream mixed with Mupirocin cream twice a day for a week.
Hopefully it will slowly improve.
Take care
