Hi,
Welcome to Doctors Spring forum.
Let me know his associated features along with mentioned.
Do you have fever/ cough with sputum/ watery diarrhea/ vomiting/ spasmodic abdominal pain/
headache/ skin rash?
Do you have yellow discoloration of eyes and urine/ upper abdominal pain aggravating after
taking meals?
Do you have some sort of stress?
With the available information, if fever is absent then there appears to be least chances of
viral infection. Virus generally causes infectious disease and may be associated with fever,
diarrhea, cough, vomiting, skin rash.
TSH level showed that you are suffering sub-clinical hypothyroidism and may take at least 1
month for clinical improvement and may take 2 months for correction of TSH level.
You should go for repeat TSH level after 2 months and further dosage of Synthyroid will be
decided after repeat TSH level.
As such there appears to be least correlation between hCG level and your symptoms especially
in males.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist and should go for thorough check up.
You should also go for complete hemogram, blood sugar, thyroid function test, serum amylase,
liver function test, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, Anti neutrophil antibody, C-reactive
Protein, electrolytes and serology test for Lymes disease (if prevalent in your area).
Other possibility could be fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. and possibility should
be sort out when all relevant investigations are found to be normal.
Treatment depends on exact diagnosis.
You should take balanced diet, pregabalin, methylcobalamin, and tricyclic antidepressants
(useful in Fibromyalgia and CFS)on written prescription from a local doctor.
Take care,
Let me know your other query.
Wishing a speedy recovery.
