Transmission of HPVs and genital warts

Resolved question:

Dear doctor, I had sex recently with a lady, who had genital warts. I suspect that she had some HPV infections. But the sex I had was not a sexual intercourse but a blowjob. If the genital warts I have seen in her are caused by HPV, is there a chance to get them affected to me? Remember we have had no sexual intercourse in which genital comes in contact. I am really confused and lost. Please help me.

Thanks for your question. Your concern about getting affected with HPV infection is evident in your question. Let me see, how best I can help you with this. HPV is a group of sexual infections which are spread to another person by a genital to genital contact or by the exchange of fluids in body. It can even occur by a skin to skin contact, where viruses are supposed to transmit to the next victim. It is better to consult your doctor to confirm whether you are affected with genital warts. Genital warts will apply as small bumps or as flat lesions which are seen irregularly shaped like cauliflowers. However no medication is found 100% safe and effective for curing genital warts, since it is a viral infection. Treatments are given according to symptoms and include creams, surgery etc. Hope your query is answered well. Take care.
