Resolved question:
Hi I'm a 24 year old female, who was recently checked for having low iron levels via a blood test. The rest concluded that I was iron deficient and since then I was prescribed palefor iron supplements. I had taken them for a while but have stopped for a few months now. I am currently on my period and have been feeling tired and dizzy and I have a pretty bad headache today. I also noticed for the first time ever two small purple coloured dots on the outside of my left hand. One looks like a small dot the other is larger almost a cm and both are flat and do not hurt when pressed. Are these purple dots part of my iron deficiency or is it from something else?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
The dots look like small petechiae, this can arise because of allergy or mild platelet deficiency.
Your symptoms are suggestive of anemia, and I will request you to get a Complete Blood Count done, and also re start your iron supplements prophylactically till you hve the reports.
Once you have the reports, please get back to me.
Regards.
