I understand your concern.
Tingling if persistent is not normal, and it can be present in a range of STDs. Since you had unprotected sex, it is better that you get yourself tested for the STD panel.
However it does not look like herpes, where the presentation is entirely different and the patient presents with genital sores and high fever. Tingling can be noticed in urethral infections, mostly secondary to gonorrhoea.
Having said that, it can purely be psychological too.
Hence, it is better you get yourself tested.
