Hello,
Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.
I understand your concern and will try my best to help you. The back pain when breathing deeply could be due to a thoracic spine sprain, a pleurisy or a costochondritis (all are non serious conditions ). The blood count shows a slightly low platelet count and slightly high mean platelet volume. This is essentially a soft finding and can be considered normal. The slightly low platelets does not correlate with the symptoms and nor does it is significantly abnormal to warrant any further investigation. So for all practical purpose it can be considered normal. Platelet counts can be influenced by lot of factors ranging from method of blood collection to viral infections. You can go for a repeat blood test after 2-4 weeks to confirm that everything is normal.
High Monocytes actually show that the white blood cells are functioning well. These types of cells are supposed to go up and down depending on the body conditions. So worries here.
Hope this helps.
