Hello
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Do you have any symptoms of endometriosis - irregular periods , pain during periods , pain during intercourse, painful urination / bowel movements etc?
If not, you are least likely to have endometriosis, particularly when the scan is negative.
ALso, when the scan is negative, do not worry about the Ca - 125, it is a non specific test.
It can be elevated non specifically.
Regarding the swelling, it might be due to raised blood pressure or other abdominal causes.
Get an abdominal ultrasound scan also, plus thyroid hormone level measurement.
All the best .
Please feel free to discuss further.
Patient replied :
my periods are painful and a bit irregular I didn't do a scan I did abdominal and pelvic and endovaginal ultrasounds also thyroid normal I have low blood pressure 100-70 I'm hoping reason it was a bit high is because testing happened first day of my period hence doctor wants to retest. What bothers me is swelling isn't fully down. So I'm worried
Can you upload pictures please of the swelling?
Considering all the scans are normal.
You can also upload the reports of the abdominal scan.
Regards.
Patient replied :
I had not had those results before
I tested for ca 19-9 took 4 days for initial result which was 37
One week later 41
I can't send you ultrasound report but it's all normal But what's scary is I repeated bloodwork Ca 125 went down to normal levels But ca19-9 Went up to 41.. Should I do more tests icannot
Yes there is a visible swollen belly.
Now the question is - is it gradual accumulation of fat, or something else ?
Please upload the reports of the ultrasound scans that have been done so far ?
Dont worry about these tests.
All the ultrasound scans are normal, so there is nothing to worry about.
It would really help if you can upload all these reports, particularly the scans done so far.
Regards.
