Looking at your details it looks that most probably you have injured your digital nerve. There are some physiotherapy treatment including the use of TENS which can relieve the pain.
For an accurate diagnosis a MRI might be needed. If there is no relief with pain meds, Physical therapy you should consider getting an MRI done. One Surgical option would be arthrodesis or fusion of joint. In this reference your doctor may help you. Bottom line is there are surgical options (specific details depends upon identifying the cause of the pain)
