Resolved question:
I have been treating stomach ulcers caused by the H. Pylori Virus for the past few months, but lately Ive been having bad panic attacks and fatigue, in turn my stool has also been red and dark green off and on, along with a lot of gas, stomach cramps, nausea and quite a bit of heartburn. Panic attack and heartburn seem to come hand in hand. I intend on seeing a physician soon, but wanted some sort of doctor opinion just for a guess of what it might be. Im on acid inhibitors at the moment.

Hello.
Thanks for posting your query on DoctorSpring.com.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
The stool symptoms may not be related to your panic attacks.
It could be probably be due to gut infection. It could have been acquired from the food which could have been contaminated or could have occurred as a side effect of acid inhibitors you are taking. A stool test may be done for confirmation.
I would also advise you to undergo an upper GI endoscopy to assess the status of ulcer/ gastritis due to H.pylori infection.
You can continue taking Valium for your panic attacks till you meet your physician.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
Okay, I have been doing some research on the possible reasons given the severity of how my stomach has been reacting and the history behind it, Is cancer listed as a possibility? The only reason I ask is because I have a family history of cancer and so I am sort of nervous about that possibility.
Hello.
Cancer is unlikely. Given your age and absence of typical symptoms, cancer cannot be taken as a possibility.
May I know what cancer your family has a history of ?
My grandmother died last year from stomach cancer that spread throughout her body in a matter of months, my great grandmother had breast cancer twice and survived it, my grandfather had cancer of the lymph nodes and was treated for it, my uncle had some sort of intestinal cancer (Im not entirely sure if it was cancer, just resulted in a removal of about a foot of intestine.) My father had a tumor on his back that was removed because it was considered cancerous and they were concerned it would spread.
Hi,
Thanks for providing the additional information.
You need not worry.
Your symptoms are not suggestive of cancer.
Moreover you do not have any red signs which would point towards cancer.
But as suggested earlier you can get an upper GI endoscopy done. This test would help in ruling out stomach cancer.
