Me and my girlfriend were fooling around on night. Some of my sperm had gotten on her hands. Several minutes later she had used the bathroom without washing her hands. Less than 24 hours after the incident she had taken a morning after pill just to make sure. It's been one week, she still believes she contracted the sperm from her hands. She is very stressed. Is this possible? Even after the pill? She feels she has all the symptoms of pregnancy.
Hello,
Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.
There is no need for any concern as pregnancy is almost impossible from the episode you have mentioned. For fertilization and implantation the sperm has to reach well with in the cervix (not outside the vagina or labia). Moreover sperms life and motility is gradually lost when its outside vagina.
And especially since she had a emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours, there is no risk of pregnancy. These pills are highly effective.
Hope this helps
Please feel free to ask followup questions

Now the question is, is it possible that her paranoia can lead her to believe that she is indeed pregnant? She states that she feels that she has every symptom of an early pregnancy? Will her period come on time? How can I reassure she is not pregnant?
Hello,
Yes, that risk is there. She may get paranoid about pregnancy. And stress and paranoia can actually delay her periods (stress is one common cause for delayed periods) and hence setting up a vicious cycle.
You should reassure her. If she gets regular periods then the issue is resolved. Orelse you can go for a simple urine test for Pregnancy for surety and assurance (if she misses her periods )
Hope this helps
Thank you

Does the Plan B Pill work even she is ovulating?
Yes, it will. (That's whole purpose of it!)
