Resolved question:
My wife has sores on both sides of the edges of her mouth. They don't appear to be coresores. As they don't weep, but because they are at the edges of her mouth they sometimes crack and bleed a little. Worst of all they stay around for a long time and get better and then worse. What is it and what is the best way to get rid of it. Please note we've tried canistan, zinc tablets, moisturizer.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your concern.
This seems to be eczema. She needs to apply mild topical steroid cream like cortisone once daily for a week and see if that helps. also she can apply elidel cream twice a day on the affected areas.
That should help in resolving the eczema but since eczema is a tendency that you have in your body, it cant be rid of , but it can be kept in check.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Regards.
