Resolved question:
I have sore finger joints, I wake up in the middle of the night with numb hands. I have a tingling and weak feeling in my left leg. I went for blood tests and no arthritis or gout found. They only found that my cholesterol is 6.85 and put me on some medication to lower cholesterol. They also found that my CRP is hight at 54 were it should be between 1-10 apparently, so for this the doctor advise to give an antibiotic (Zinnat) to cure whatever is wrong in the body. But the finger joints are still sore and the left leg has the funny feelings too.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Since when have you developed these symptoms? CRP is an inflammatory marker and since it is elevated it points more towards arthritis. As arthritis has been ruled out, we need to evaluate further to find out the exact cause. It could be due to a vitamin b12 deficiency or a pinched nerve.
Did you get your CBC evaluated?
Now regarding the finger joints : Is the pain more in the morning after waking up? Does movements aggravate the pain? Is it in both hands or on one particular side?
Kindly answer these questions and I will get back to you,
Regards.
