I've attached an image. This happened about 30 min ago but it's cleared up now. Here's a link in case the image doesn't come through. http://postimg.org/image/l48w3tu7h/
Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your concern.
You seem to be having urticaria which is also known as hives. It happens due to an allergy to innumerable things and its not easy to always find out the cause.
I would recommend that you try eliminating factors like dust, pollen, animal dander, insect bites, any medications or a food substance by maintaining a diary the day you get it and recalling everything that you may have come in contact with.
Also a combination of anti histamines like Allegra and claritin should be taken daily for two weeks to suppress the process.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Regards

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your response. I'd like to ask a few follow up questions to clarify.
1) This just developed over the last few months. I haven't had any allegies in the past. Could this still be allergies?
2) Besides allergies, what else causes hives? Anything I should be concerned/tested for?
3) Can you tell me more about the regiment of anti-histamines I should be taking? Will taking them for 2 weeks suppress the hives for good? I'm in Canada so brands are a bit different here than the States. If you give me the medinical names and daily dosages, I'll look up local equivalents.
Thanks!
Hello.
Thanks for your reply.
You could get an allergy now even if it's not been there in the past. It's still hives. Hives is a allergic reaction of the body to a substance be it infection, food, medications, dust etc. You can get a complete blood count, urine and stool tested for any infection.
The antihistamines are Fexofenadine tablet once a day and Loratidine tablet once in the night. I would suggest you consult with your doctor before taking the same.
Thanks.
