As per your description, your husband got operated recently.
You did not describe the procedure done.
It looks like your Surgeon has introduced fistula plug .It might be coming out now with infection.
Infection from that region rarely spreads to other organs.Then,he should have Fever, raised Blood Urea or Serum creatinine levels indicating kidney involvement, raised Liver function tests etc.
He needs higher Antibiotics.
Clostridium difficile infection will occur with some antibiotics. It can be controlled.
If infection is present, there is no other option except using higher antibiotics.
Consult your doctor and proceed with treatment.
It will come down.
