Resolved question:
I am a 33 yo female that went to nurse prac for increasing migraines, numbness/tingling in finger tips, feet, twitching in toes, and get burning patches of skin. I also have been having trouble with short term memory. Lab work done showed nothing significant, cmp, crp, thyroid panel. I had a MRI of brain that stated the following:
The brain parenchyma demonstrates no areas of abnormal signal, no areals of abnormal enhancement, no mass or mass effect. No hydrocephalus. Incidental note made of dilated perivascular spaces compatible with etat crible. Posterior fossa and 4th ventricle unremarkable. Skull base and calvaria unremarkable. Mucoperiosteal thickening of the left maxillary sinus. This is associated with a mucous retention cyst. Findings suggestive of chronic left sided maxillary sinusitis. This may account for the patients clinical syndrome of headaches. Mastoid air cells are clear. Preservation of flow voids involoving the vertebral arteries and internal carotids.
Impression: 1. Unremarkable MRI of the brain
2. Incidental note made of chronic left sided maxillary sinusitis witht a left maxillary sinus mucous retention cyst, which may account for the patients clinical syndrome of headache. Recommend clinical correlation.
My question is can the dilated perivascular spaces cause the neurological symptoms? I have looked up etat crible and most of what I have read deals with Alzheimers or Parkinsons and elderly patients.

I have noted your symptoms as well as MRI brain findings.
First of all, I would like to reassure you that the MRI findings do not denote any serious brain disease.
These findings can not explain your neurological symptoms. They are seen in many normal people your age. I agree that with ageing as well as with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD), these MRI findings are more prevalent. In your case, there is no need to suspect AD or PD.
Do you have diabetes or high cholesterol? Do you have sensitivity to cold, does your fingers change colour when exposed to cold? Do you feel anything triggers your symptoms? Do you feel any weakness in your hands or feet?
