Patient replied :
Yes I have done an MRI that was the summmary: "Straightening of cervical spine due to muscle spasm
Cervical spondylosis deformans
C5-C6: broad based disc herniation with right paracentral disc protrusion causing anterior thecal sac indentation with bilateral neural foramen narrowing. Impingement of bilateral exiting nerve roots noted [LT > RT]." The also mentioned posterior osteophytes in the same area.
Hi,
Sorry to hear that you have been suffering from this problem since 10 years. As you have mentioned, your symptoms have increased since 5 months. Added to this if you have twitching then its progressing for sure. I didn't get to know when the MRI was done. Has your treating surgeon mentioned anything about surgery. I feel you would require surgery. Please have a consultation with your neurosurgeon at the earliest.
Patient replied :
Yes that MRI was done on 22 of April this year and am scheduled to meet the neurosurgeon in 2 days. Thanks for ur opinion dr.
Yes, you definitely need the surgery in my opinion.
Thank You.
