I have been sexually active for over a year and a half but today I discovered what I think is some sort of septate hymen. It is slightly different to the normal septate hymen though because instead of the band of skin going straight across the middle of my vaginal opening, it is slightly to the side, resulting in one bigger hole (the reason I can have sex) and one smaller hole (can only fit one finger but hurts when does). Although sex is fine most of the time, I think this band of skin can explain the occasional discomfort I feel during sex. My question is could I attempt to break it myself (hygienically of course), and if so how should I go about it and make sure the remaining skin doesn't hang out of my vagina after it is broken. I do not particularly want to have a medical procedure to do it. Thanks
