I understand your concern.
If she has active moniliasis/ candidiasis, then there is a possibility that she could have transmitted it to you. Depends entirely on what stage of treatment she is on. Did you have protected/unprotected intercourse? Is she at an high risk for other STDs?
I will advise you to take Tab. Diflucan one single dose prophylactically to prevent the development of yeast infection.

Yes the burning can be from monistat, if while you were having intercourse, you came in contact with it from her genitalia. It can cause burning, itching and irritation of the skin.
