Hello,
Lasik is a cosmetic surgery , many a times enhancement surgery is required. This is because of inadequate laser energy , which is no ones fault.
I do understand your concern and yes it could be frustrating. Lasik surgery does come with risks such as blurriness and sometimes haloes seen after the surgery.
Please do continue on the medication & get a enhancement done. This is will help.
Hope this helps
Please feel free to ask followup questions.
Thank you
Patient replied :
- could this enhancement be performed within two or three weeks from initial surgery ? Or there is a limitation for specific time between surgeries ?
-is there complications of this touch up ? Future sensitivity of eyes or cornea problems
- is there a probability for another failure of surgery ?
Hello,
Yes the enhancement can be done in 2-3 weeks, but usually it is done after 3 weeks , its called the corneal clearing time , usually if the corneal thickness is good then redo is usually risk free.
As far as failure is concerned the chances are less, but nothing is risk free.
Hope this helps, please feel free to discuss further.
