Hi,
Thank your for your consult at DoctorSpring.com.
From the description provided and pictures atrached, it seems you are having tinea cruris. Use of clobeta gm just supresses the infection but does not treat it. Moreover, it makes your skin thin and makes the infection refractory to teeatment.
So firstly you should stop using clobeta gm. Start a course of oral terbinafine 250 mg once daily.
Apply sertaconazole cream like onabet cream twice daily.
Also take oral antiallergic like desloratidine 5 mg daily to control the itch.
Wash the area with ketoconazole soap like ketopz or K2zole soap while bathing and dust it with antifungal dusting powder like abzorb/ zocon/ terbinaforce etc frequently.
Avoid wearing synthetic/denim/ tight clothes.
Avoid hot temperatures and sweating.
Hopefully the infection will resolve in two weeks.
Also its my sincere advise that you consult a doctor nearby for sipervision and further follow up. Tinea is quite a common and easily treatable infection.
Please dont delay a consultation with doctor just because of embarassment.
Hope this helps, would be glad to answer any follow-ups.
Take care

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for your prescription and suggestions.
Now the Itching and the reddishness almost got reduced. Thank you once again.
Do I need to continue the tablets Terbinafine -250 mg and Desloratidine-5 mg up to 14 days or not?
Now the skin in that area is tuned into blackish. Will you please suggest an ointment to reduce the blackishness?
Thanks & Regards,
Lenin Babu.
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Sir, as you are having relief please continue the same prescription for further two weeks. This would prevent further recurrence of tinea. After two weeks, stop everything just continue with antifungal powder. As far as darkness is concerned, it would reduce on its own. Right now no medicine is required for the same. After two weeks please get back for follow up with images of affected area.
Regards

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for your treatment.
I took the tablets for 15days and at present, the Itching, reddishness got reduced completely. Please find attached the snaps.
Once again, thank you so much for your time and expertise. It’s affected my everyday life, and I feel so much better now. Thank you for your kindness.
Few more concerns:
- Skin becomes thinner due to the innerwear edges (Snaps 3 & 4). Please suggest some treatment.
- Recently, few rashes are started nearer to the right eye edge ( Snap 5). Is it related to my earlier skin problem? Please suggest some ointment.
Once again, my heartfelt thanks for the treatment.
Kind Regards,
Lenin Babu.
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Your skin has thinned due to use of potent steroid( seen as atrophic shiny stretch mark) and due to persistent infection. It will recover with time. But you can follow these to prevent irritation of skin
Wear cotton boxers instead of normal briefs.
Dust the area with antifungal powder
Continue antifungal cream like sertraconazole cream twice
Prior to bathing massage the area elovera lotion which contains vitamin E and aloevera gel. This would restore skin thickness. However, too much use of moisturiser should be avoided in fungal infection.
could you please send your eye pic again as I am not able to see it on my portal.
Hope this helped.
Take care

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for your reply and suggestions. Rashes are almost reduced on eye. Here with attached the snap for your reference.
How many days should I use the Antifungal cream (sertraconazole)?
Request your suggestions please.
Thank you,
Lenin Babu
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Use the cream for two more weeks and then stop. But as long as the weather is humid, antifungal dusting powder should be continued. Around eyes, I really cant appreciate any fungal lesion. But if you can feel a well demarcated itchy area, then please use antifungal cream there also.
Take care
Hope this helped.
