Hello,
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
After having a normal period, your chances of being pregnant are almost nil. This is because the preparatory endometrium will be shed, and also signals the implantation has not occurred.
Add to that a negative pregnancy test ( though it was taken bit early ).
I do not think that you are pregnant.
Just for your assurance, if you wish, you may repeat the pregnancy test, although I strongly feel it would be negative again.
All the best.
Feel free to ask followups
Take care.
Patient replied :
Could I have had a miscarriage? I am still having pregnancy symptoms, i gained 10 lbs yet my diet barely changed and I had a heavy period that only lasted 3 days and it came a day early. I also noticed a lot of weight went into my stomach.
Even if it was a miscarriage, you would get a positive / faintly positive result on the pregnancy test.
When did you have your period ?
Accordingly I could advise a blood B HCG pregnancy test
Thankyou
Patient replied :
In case I am pregnant, is it safe to take any of these during pregnancy?
Nasonex (nasal spray), singular pills or zafirlukast. If it's ok to take nasonex and zafirlukast, is it possible for you to prescribe it to me? I am almost out of both that my previous doctor prescribed.
If none are allowed while pregnant, what can I take? I have allergies and I am just wondering what I can and can't take for future to know when I do get pregnant or if I am.
Sincerely,
Marina
Hi
We do not give prescriptions on this site.
Both Nasonex and Zafirlukast are best avoided in pregnancy, though Zafirlukast is pregnancy category B, and Nasonex is pregnancy category C, so Zafirlukast is slightly better.
Cetirizine is a safer alternative for allergies, though it is best to consult a Chest Physician for this.
Once you conceive, you can discuss this, and it is best to have an appointment peri conceptionally to discuss this.
Take care.
