Hello
Thanks for writing to DoctorSpring.com with your health concern.
Home pregnancy tests are 97 % reliable in diagnosing a pregnancy, blood tests even more so.
It is impossible to be pregnant and not show up on any of these, if these are done on time ?
When was your last period ?
Do you have regular cycles ?
When were these tests done, and why are you so confused ?
Look forward to hearing from you, Take care.
Patient replied :
My last period finished on 28th may. Regular cycles just longer bleeding due to Having pcos. Blood test done last week. Stomach pocking out more and feel small butterfly movement's. Iv had two boys so this will be a third pregnancy. Iv had dissy spells sore boobs and the smell of some foods make me gag. Im so confused as I feel that im pregnant but the tests are negative and my dr is refusing to give me an ultrasound for at least another 4 weeks.
In PCOS , irregular and missed cycles are the norm.
So do not worry.
Negative pregnancy tests , particularly the blood tests, are quite reliable.
Wait for your scan.
Feel free to discuss further.
Take care.
