Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
First of all, the polyps that you mention - were they diagnosed by a doctor or have you seen them ?
Please upload pictures of the polyps so that I can have a diagnosis as to what they are.
Also, occasional cramps are normal.
Regarding the irregular cycles, you need a formal workup.
What is your current height and weight ?
Stress, anxiety, emotional turbulence, weight fluctuations. unaccustomed exercise, travelling, smoking, drinking, late nights, irregular eating habits - all can cause menstrual irregularities.
Hormonal levels need to be checked and an internal exam needs to be done.
YOu need to consult a Specialist and have the following workup -
1. Internal exam - per vaginum and per speculum'
2. Pap smear.
3. Pelvic transvaginal ultrasound scan.
4. Hormonal levels - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Lipid profile.
All the best
Looking forward to hearing from you with more details.
Regards.

There has not been any major disturbance of any of my habits weight or behaviors. .. like I said I was regular before having my daughter and then I became irregular. The pain I was referring to are most definitely not cramps. I've had cramps. I've had labor pains. This is not a muscular pain. It is a sharp stabbing pain that lasts for a few seconds and in bursts. I have seen the polyps myself after having felt them. And I use the word polyp for lack of a better description. They do not bleed or anything. They look like polyps.
Thank you for the follow up.
In order to give a recommendation regarding how to proceed I would appreciate if you could upload pictures of the polyps.
Also kindly include in your reply, your height and weight.
Looking forward to your reply

I am 5'6 and 175lbs. The pics don't clearly show them but I can't really take a picture of inside my own vagina. It's really difficult. Anyway, I know about hormones and weight fluctuations, this is not my problem. I have been tested. It is something else entirely. The months between cycles are getting longer and the pain is becoming more frequent. I sometimes feel pressure on my cervix and in my uterus. And I am most definitely not pregnant.
Hello again,
The pictures are unfortunately not clear.
I would suggest you to have the outlined workup.
- Internal exam ( Per vaginum, Per Speculum )
-Pap Smear
- Pelvic Transvaginal ultrasound
- Hormonal levels ( FSH, LH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Lipid Profile )
These tests will help to correlate your symptoms better.
The workup is listed to pick up some other reason, such as polycystic ovaries , endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyp, hormonal disturbances.
Please get the tests done and I am keeping this consult open and please follow-up.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Take care.
Regards.
