Pharyngitis and cold

At present you are suffering from pharyngitis. Its not a serious condition it can
be treated easily with medication under the care of your local Doctor. Here are my recommendations -

1.Tab.Amoxicillin 500 mg three times daily for 5 days.

2. Tab.Levocetrizine 5 mg once daily for 5 days.

3. We can add nasal decongestant like phenylephrine hcl 10 mg or pseudoephedrine
hcl 30 mg decongestant tablet two times daily.

4. You can take analgesic including Paracetamol 1 gm as and when required if you
have any throat pain.

5. We can add cough suppressant like dextromethorphan or codeine phosphate cough
syrup

You can do gargle with warm saline or disprin.

You should continue treatment for asthma if you have wheezing or breathing
difficulty.

With Phayringitis i have a cold , is it normal to salivate more? I also have a cold minty sensation down my throat.

I have already mentioned medicines for cold including
Tab.Levocetrizine 5 mg once daily for 5 days.

Nasal decongestant like phenylephrine hcl 10 mg or pseudoephedrine hcl 30 mg decongestant tablet two times daily.

Salive production increase in throat infecion so it will improve with medication. Abnormal sensation in throat (cold minty) is also part of throat infection symptoms. So this will also improve with same medication.
