Resolved question:
I Hello,
I am a 25-year-old active male who works out a lot and runs consistently. I had recently been experiencing fatigue and felt very sluggish as of late. I was having some palpitations and the feeling of fluttering in my chest so I went to my doctor, where he had me perform the following tests:
EKG, Holter monitor, Stress test, and Echocardiogram. My EKG was slightly abnormal which led to the him ordering the other tests. My Holter monitor and stress test came back normal while my echocardiogram revealed the following:
Ejection fraction: 60%
trace mitral regurgitation and pulmonic valvular regurgitation, with mild tricuspid regurg and some mild chamber wall enlargement
My doctor recommended a cardiology consult.
I also have a history of anxiety and depression, so naturally I'm very concerned about this. Is this something I should be very concerned about?

Hello,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have noted your details and am glad to note that CT was normal, ruling out any skull bone fracture or any major bleeding in the brain.
Post concussion syndrome is a possibility, however, headaches persisting for more than 5 weeks need further evaluation.
MRI brain should be done, if possible, please prepone it. MRI brain should be able to exclude other causes, such as mild bleeding (in brain or in subarachnoid space), any small contusion, etc.
However, there is no need to worry, as it would not be any serious cause (as your CT was normal).
I hope it helps.
Best wishes,
Dr. Sudhir Kumar MD (Medicine), DM (Neurology)
