It is pretty hard to see. It looks as if it's just ripply skin. It feels as if it's a vein or tendon with small notches. If the notches are lymph nodes they aren't swollen but I can feel them. I can't tell whether or not they are nodes though.
Hello
Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern.
In hidradenitis suppurativa there are often bridging scars. I reviewed the picture you sent but I couldn't appreciate the structure you are mentioning. Its often difficult to see cord like structures, they are better felt. The small notches you mention could be lymph nodes.
I would recommend visiting your doctor who can examine you thoroughly for it. It wouldn't be wise for me to opine without actually feeling the structure.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care

Thank you for the answer.
If these are nodes then what could be causing them to be felt but not swollen? The cord is so small and the notches are very small as well. If hidradenitis suppurativa is what is causing my problems would the cording be so small? The notches I feel are smaller than a pea and they run straight along the structure (there are only a couple). When I pull the skin taught you can see them a little better but they still do not show up on the picture. The notches and the structure both are easily moved. No hardness. I'll try and get a better picture.
