Resolved question:
Hi i have Seen this bump for about a week now. 3 days ago i tried to squeeze it but it did not pop. That same day i shaved my vulva and got a razor cut. Given that i shave regularly hair growth itch is normal to me. I dont have any other obvious symptoms. It is painles and i worried it can be an std since i got a new partner 3 months ago that i already asked and he claims to have never had outbreaks and is clean. We have only had protected sex i know i have a flesh colored skin tag. That was already seen by my ob while i was pregnant. Also i have never had any std before

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Do not worry.
This is not an STD.
This is just a boil / a pimple similar to that which occurs on other parts of the body.
It is an infection / inflammation of the hair follicles and sweat glands present in this part of the body.
It would mostly go away on its own in a few days' time.
Avoid touching / handling the area.
Clean with lukewarm water, avoid soaps / gels / douches to clean it.
You can apply topical Mupirocin / Bacitracin ointment for relief.
If it does not subside in a week's time, then you need to consult your OB - GYN to have prescription antibiotics.
All the best
Please feel forward to discuss further.
Hi,
I have been following instructions on how to care for the bump. And since im a long distance runner i guess the bump got aggravated by the constant friction, so it ended up getting bigger and this time painful to the touch. So i decided to try to pop it again. And a ball of fat came out ( just like a zit) i attached it ...followed by blood. The pain is less but ... Im wondering still if its almost certain that it's just a zit ?
Yes, what you said confirms what I said - it is a zit.
But it is not wise to touch it and pop it, it might recur or spread.
Best is to have antibiotics if it recurs / lingers on.
