Resolved question:
Hi,
I'm a 55 year-old male. My penis slightly curves to the left (condition since childhood-teens). I have normal intercourse.
Lately, after being sexually inactive for a few months, I have started experiencing painful and very hard erections (pain inside all along the length of the penis), including at night while sleeping.
The pain goes away for a few days if I become active again. My penis also seems to be now curving very slightly upward as well when the erection is very hard (but I'm not sure, could be that the hardness accentuates the shape and creates the pain).
Needless to say, I feel embarrassed and worried.
Thank you,
Robert

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
The curvature towards the left is normal variant and seen in a large proportion of men.
I am not clear why you are experiencing painful and hard erections. It is probably because of your sexual inactivity. The upward curvature is just because of hard erection.
You need to be a little more sexually active; maybe do masturbation once a while and you shall be fine.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

I was concerned that it could be the beginning or Peyronie's disease.
Patients with Peyronie's disease have worsening of erection as compared to previously.
You have strong erections and feel better after sexual activity.
Peyronie's disease is ruled out.
