Pain in WISDOM TOOTH due to nerve compression.

Resolved Question:

I had minor pain in lower wisdom tooth which come and go seldom. My dentist took X-ray and said the tooth is fine and the pain may be because of some nerve compression. I take half of paracetamol 125 mg tablet (62mg) once everyday night and the pain is gone.

If 62 mg paracetamol can take away the pain which is very mild dose(pain is also mild, not excruciating) is that show the tooth is ok and supports the nerve compression theory by my dentist.

Is it safe to take 62mg paracetamol for long term as the tooth is fine as per dentist. Taking this for abt 4 months. Last month took LFT and shown to my general physician and he said LFT is very normal. The ESR is 45 mm, is that ok?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I have reviewed all your reports and they are all fine.
You can take Paracetamol 62 mg, this won't cause any future problems, people have safely consumed 1000 mg of paracetamol in combination with aceclofenac for arthritis related problems for years. So, 62 mg is not going to cause any problems, and you can continue using it for the required time mentioned by your dentist.
Hope this was helpful.
Regards,
Dr. Jay

Why ESR is high 45 mm. Any symptoms for any underlying disease?

ESR is highly non-specific and can be high in certain allergies, or could also be high due to a recent viral infection in the past.
Your other reports are fine, so it can be ignored.
Regards,
Dr. Jay
