Lower Urinary Tract Infection.

Resolved Question:

Good morning,

I have a possible STD, maybe. I am due to get tested Monday with my doctor's office, but I need more info as I have to wait the entire weekend for my appointment.

first off, yes I am sexually active, and I have had a couple different partners, one where she did perform oral sex on me without a condom.

So here is my problem, about three-four weeks ago, I felt itching on the shaft of my penis. I found a flat pink/redspot, not rasied, not open there. It itched a bit, but there was no pain. It then would go almost go away, then come back, and the it went away completely. Along with this I felt a bit sore in my penis and around my lower area.

Then I started to feel soreness around bellow my testicles, and near my anus. I am a cyclist and at first I might have saddle sore, but Its been 5 days off my bike, and I still feel as if I have a rash, alhough I can only see piinkish color to my area, and I feel as if maybe someone has their finger up my butt someimes. Nothing painful, just discomfornt and a bit of itching sometimes.no blood, no open sores, just soreness in my penis, sometimes in my testicles, and the feeling of rash bellow right above my anus. and there is some discofort sometimes when I urinate, and for about a week I did urinate more than usual. I also stared to have lower back pain on my right rear lower back area, don't know I this is related but thought I would mention it.

What could this be? I have had no fever that I can think of, not much fatigue, or any sore throats or anything to feel like a flu, and again there are no open sores. Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.

I assume other than the oral sex episode other encounters you had protected sex. In that case your risk appears low. I have thoroughly evaluate your symptoms. Your symptoms are nonspecific and without a pattern for a specific STD.

Since the pink spot on your penis disappeared on its own it could due to a abrasion. The occasional back pain and the urinary symptoms could be due to Chlamydial or Gonorrhoea infection. But in my experience many of the LUTS (Lower Urinary Tract Infections) turn out to be not STDs. ( My assumptions are based on that fact that there was only unprotected oral sex).

Your best bet will be to wait for the test results. Do update me with the results. I will keep this consult open.

Thank you

Patient replied :

Good morning,
Ok so I got my full std and urine tests back. negative on all stds and no hepatitis, and my uring was fine except for a small trace of blood. But the pain in my testicles has not gone away, specifically the right one. It is sore and tender and hurts when I sit the most. I have done a self exam, but cant really feel anything other than they both seem a bit swollen, I wouldn't know really if there is something there that shouldn't be there. I do feel lumps, or tissue of some kind on both sides, and a small, pea like hard thing but not right against the testicle, more like kind of behind it? So since I wa prescribed antibiotics in case there is an infection, I am about 6 days away from ending that, the doctor suggested to fully go through that before he has me do an ultra sound. Could this be Cancer?

Thank you

No, I do not think it is cancer or anything serious. The scan is to rule out cyst or infection. Testicular cancers do not usually present in this fashion. Do continue your antibiotics. Thank you
