Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have reviewed your previous reports, and there is really nothing to worry about.
Since you work out, your pulse rate/ HR is supposed to be on the lower side and can range between 55-60.
However 46 is too low.
Did you have any symptoms such as light headedness, or dizziness? Did you have any chest pain? Or any shortness of breath? In absence of all these there is nothing to worry about. And septum is just slightly thickened, there is no way it could be contributing to your low HR.
Also how have you been monitoring your HR?
Awaiting your reply,
Regards.

Hi I have no symptoms that you have mentioned.. It was dropping down to 46 if I totally relaxed and breathed slowly .. Most of the time it will hang around 50 and occasionally drop to 48. I am checking it on a finger oximeter. My bp at that rate was 135/80
Hello,
Without any symptoms you should not be worried
Your ECG and ECHO are good, ensuring the fact that your heart is in a good state.
Mostly in athletes the heart rate will be hovering around 50's.
But if there are no symptoms, there is nothing to worry about.

Thanks for quick response...anyway so you think a septum thickness of 1.4cm would not cause my any problems at all?
Hello,
No the septum size, reviewing your history is due to physical activity. And 1.4 cms won't cause any problems at all.
Just review with a repeat ECHO after 6 months.
And also cut down on intense physical activity or work outs, for example avoid running for 45 minutes, or working out more than 40 minutes per day. It puts unnecessary stress on the heart.

Ok just one final question about the HR, I'm sat in my car and if I sit totally still and not move then after a bit my HR goes down to 48.. Is this because I have a healthy heart? There's no risk of a cardiac arrest?
So it just shows your HR ranges around the athletes' HR values.
It is no way a bad sign.
And also there is definitely no chances of cardiac arrest. Please do not be so worried, or else anxiety will cause further issues.
Regards.
