Hello,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have noted your symptoms, past details and blood reports.
I agree that your symptoms can be explained by vitamin B12 deficiency and essential tremors.
You can continue vitamin B 12 supplements as at present. For tremors, propranolol tablets may be used.
Normal MRI is a good news.
I hope it helps.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM
Dear Sir,
Thankyou for your opinion.
I had carried out MRI last year i.e. in 2013-14.
These tremors were not at that time. Tremors have started in past 1-2 months only. Do i need some more tests. Can you please guide the reasons for these tremors.
Further my physical effeciency has also gone down interms of standing- I cannot stand for more than 10-15 minutes( Start feeling pressure in veins/nerves of feet base), Then walking is also going down( nerves start dwindling).
Can you opine as to when such symptoms will go away?
Regards
KAPIL
Hello,
Thank you for getting back.
If tremors are more recent, then, an MRI of brain may be repeated to exclude ischemia (decreased blood supply to brain) or demyelination (damage to covering of nerves).
Use of propranolol tablets would help you get better in about 4-6 weeks time.
With vitamin B12 supplements and regular exercises, your strength and stamina would also improve.
Best wishes,
