Hello,
Thank you for your medical query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
12 kgs in past 2 months is significant weight loss, and complete set of investigations are required for a diagnosis.
Was any ultrasound abdomen done recently? Any history of coughing/ fever/ evening rise of temperature? How is bowel and bladder movement? Does he smoke/ drink?
Kindly give a list of investigations done recently or if any other investigations have been done in the recent past, please mention in the follow-up. I will also advise a thyroid profile for him.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.

1 Tablet - 20 Min before Lunch & Dinner: METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE (SR), GLIMEPRIDE AND VOGLIBOSE TABLETS (ZORYL-MV 2)
You are kindly requested to advise on the above and also advise us in this high sugar level till it get control what all precautions, diet etc we need to take and how to control it asap.
Kind Regards,
Ravish
He has Type 2 diabetes, and since it was not diagnosed before, the symptoms got so worse and he lost so much weight.
The medicines seem adequate for now, but he may need insulin therapy, so it depends on the sugar levels after 15 days.
Please avoid sugar, oily and fatty foods, and he should also try to exercise for 30 minutes daily. Just brisk walking will do considering his age. With adequate diet control and medicines, his sugar levels will come down.
Please update me his repeat sugar values once you have them.
Regards.
