Hi
hanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Externally, nothing abnormal is seen.
You may be having internal haemorrhoids which is the cause for bleeding.
Some amount of mucus will come from anus.If it is excess, then it is a matter of concern. It could be due to infection which is also causing itching. I prescribe Antibiotic like Rifaximine tablet along with Metronidazole tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
Please take high fiber diet, drink plenty of liquids, eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Your stool should be soft. Bleeding will be controlled with these dietary habits.
Nothing to worry.
If there is no response in spite of all these measures, please consult a Gastroenterologist, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
Patient replied :
Is there anything over the counter that will help with the itching?
you can take an antihistamine like claritin to help you with the itching, but it won't cure your problem
